The construction of the axe is very similar to an axe made by Fiskars. Not that surprising as Gerber is owned by Fiskars. This means that you profit from the axe head attachment. The handle made from FRN is poured around the head. As such it can never come off. The handle, also made from FRN, can withstand shocks and won’t break during normal use. The famous Gerber Gator grip on the handle makes sure it feels great in hand.
The handle has been enhanced with a small fixed knife. This knife has a 7.2 cm blade and a total length of 17.8 cm. The magnet and an additional rubber holder firmly keep the blade in place.
You skin game and prepare food with the knife. However, chopping wood for the campfire and quartering larger pieces of game should be done with the axe.
With the included nylon belt sheath you can easily and comfortably carry the axe around in the field.
