The fine chips are very easy to ignite with a fire starter, for example the Aurora Fire Starter. Of course matches work as well! The wood burns fast, hot and for a long time. A perfect base for starting a larger fire. Even in wet conditions, you can count on good fire, because the fire is mainly fueled by the resin, not the wood.
